Become A Volunteer
When you volunteer with INSPIRE, you’re not just serving others—you’re gaining the understanding and fulfillment experienced by mentoring those you may not normally encounter in your community. We primarily offer mentorship/buddy opportunities but always looking to expand our outreach.
Want to INSPIRE with us? Contact us today.
Become an Athlete
- Through sports, our athletes display their abilities, not disabilities. Our delegation is open to those 18 and older who want to feel confident and empowered by their accomplishments.
- To get started, complete an Athlete Enrollment/Medical Release form (Spanish version).
- Please include INSPIRE Dallas in the Delegation Name field.
- Once complete, please submit your form to [email protected].
Become a Volunteer
- Volunteers are the heart of INSPIRE Dallas and Special Olympics Texas. Without them, we would not be able to continue to support the thousands athletes who rely on us for community and support.
- No experience is required; however, volunteers under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
- For longer-term volunteers (ex. Referees, chaperones, trainers, etc.), please visit the Special Olympics Texas website and complete the required steps to become a volunteer.
- For shorter-term or day-of volunteers, please email the Greater Dallas Area Special Olympics office at [email protected] or by calling 214-943-9981.
Become a Coach
- Much of the success of our athletes can be directly attributed to the coaches who give their time and heart to INSPIRE and teach skills and sportsmanship. No prior experience is necessary. Special Olympics Texas will provide all training and resources necessary for certification.
- To get started, please visit the Special Olympics Texas website and complete the required steps to become a volunteer.
- From there, you will be asked to complete the required Concussion in Sports coaching certification course.
